More to life than food – The Importance of Patience


Patience isn’t something that a lot of people seem to talk about. We seem like a group of people that like to talk about setting goals and getting places. Don’t wait for life to happen to you go and grab it by the horns – you know that sort of thing. Your 10 step route for where you want to be. Now don’t get me wrong I am all for dreaming big and moving towards positive change. This isn’t the stagnating sally club, we all want to be moving and evolving. But by nature we are. Sometimes we might feel like we need a little push, but for the most part our energy is moving us forward. Onward and upward.

However this mentality can constantly leave us chasing the next thing, focusing on tomorrow and pushing for more, better, different. Very few of us are taught the importance of right now. Yes we all talk about being in the now, bla bla bla. But feeling it. Well that is different. I think like all things being in the now takes practice and it is definitely something I am trying to cultivate. Following my instincts, trusting in the journey I am on and taking the days moment by moment. 

And here’s why, because every now and then, I am fully aware that I am exactly in the right place at exactly the right time doing exactly the right thing. And that my friends, is the best feeling in the world. Those moments give us such energy and momentum, we take leaps and bounds towards dreams, we live and really live because we are there, focused and part of it all right now. 

So believe this. Though it may not seem it, and you want things to change, just remember you do not know what is around the corner, you do not know what life has in store for you next you can only live the now. And right now you are in exactly the right place, at exactly the right time, doing exactly the right thing. Listen to your gut. Start to trust those deep murmurings. We all always know the answers to our problems, we just need to start listening to ourselves rather than others. The search is never outside, it is always in. 

So when you feel worried or anxious, stressing about the future, feeling stuck or scared of what is next. Just know 100% you have got this. Everything is going to be great. So there is no rush. You will get there, wait, scrap that, you are there already. So be patient, let it come, because I guarantee when it does, it will be exactly the right time.
